Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- Members of the Solidarity for Progress, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification, the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy and other civic and public organizations in south Korea held the 100th rally for peace and disarmament outside the building of the puppet Defence Ministry on April 27. The organizations at the rally recalled that civic and public organizations and anti-war peace movement organizations have waged a strenuous struggle for putting an end to the military dependence on the U.S. and cutting down the number of weapons of destruction. Accusing the authorities of stoking the confrontation with the DPRK and straining the situation these days and, at the same time, insisting on the production of WMDs, they stressed that to prevent such action, it is necessary to build a peace-keeping regime on the Korean Peninsula and realize disarmament through concerted efforts. They declared that they would as ever wage a positive struggle to force the authorities to put an end to their confrontation with the DPRK, stop the production of WMDs and halt the war exercises for aggression on the DPRK and implement the inter-Korean joint declarations and thus make voices demanding peace and disarmament ring out louder. |
