Art Works Portraying Kim Il Sung Exhibited

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- Fine art pieces depicting President Kim Il Sung dating back to the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle have been exhibited at the Korean Art Gallery. They are Korean painting, pen drawing, woodcut prints, pencil drawing and other works of various forms created during the anti-Japanese war. Among them is Korean painting "General Kim's commanding order reverberates throughout Changbai valley", which praises Kim Il Sung as a central figure in the national liberation struggle and the invincible and iron-willed commander. Pen drawing "General Kim allures and destroys enemies in Liudaogou" and print "Commander Kim Il Sung mapping out operation" truthfully portray the greatness of Kim Il Sung sweeping the Japanese imperialist aggressors into their graves and instilling confidence in Korea's liberation into the people. There are also pen drawing "General Kim making a campfire", mimeographed picture "General Kim patching up shoes of guerrilla members", Korean painting "General Kim giving back cows to peasants in Yaksudong Village", pencil drawing "General Kim having a talk with old villagers" and other works. They depict the noble traits of the President who showed great benevolence for guerrilla members and people, always sharing weal and woe with them. |
