"Improving Four Large Rivers" Protested in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- More than 8,000 Catholics of south Korea held a "mass" in Myongdong Cathedral in Seoul on May 10 in protest against the puppet authorities' moves to push forward the projects for "improving the four large rivers ". The participants bitterly denounced the authorities for getting frantic in the projects bringing profits to big business men only, remaining utterly indifferent to the people's living. They urged the authorities to stop at once the projects depleting the natural environment which will entail irrevocable damage. They published a declaration of actions against the above-said projects. |
