The factory started operation in February Juche 41 (1952) when the Fatherland Liberation War was at its height.

It began producing liquor of good flavor and high medicinal value with Kaesong Koryo Insam in 1961.

It, now equipped with up-to-date facilities, uses quality natural water to brew several dozen kinds of insam sul (insam liquor), including Susam Insam Sul, Samno Sul and Insam Soju.

Some of its products won gold medals at the Leipzig International Fair and other international fairs.

The factory has introduced new science and technologies into production to improve the quality of its products, while retaining its traditional brewing methods.
