In this regard Rodong Sinmun Friday says in a signed commentary:

The recent drill was part of Japan's moves to complete the building of an ambitious missile shield in a bid to realize its wild design for conversion into a military giant and overseas expansion.

Japan is apt to cover up its missile shield with the veil of "defense." This is nothing but a poor artifice to justify its criminal missile build-up and deployment.

It is the ulterior intention of the Japanese reactionaries to develop the "Self-Defense Forces" into offensive forces under the pretext of the fictitious "threat" from somebody and thus convert Japan into a military giant and launch overseas aggression.

The above-said drill was a test military operation to put into practice the scenario for overseas aggression as it was aimed at a preemptive strike, to all intents and purposes, the commentary notes, and goes on:

The Japanese reactionaries are seeking to acquire the capability for preemptive missile attacks on their neighboring countries by building missile shields with the U.S. help and hold a military edge in Northeast Asia and launch reinvasion any time.

Such reckless moves are a criminal act of disturbing the security of Northeast Asia and upsetting the military equilibrium and increasing the danger of war in the region.

The Japanese reactionaries would be well advised to face up to the trend of the times and stop the rash military moves that will only precipitate their own destruction.
