Anti-"Government" Struggle Declared in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- At least 5,000 members of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) held a rally in Seoul on May 12 in protest against the puppet authorities' moves to suppress it.

Speakers at the rally accused the "government" and the business side of holding negotiations on May 11 at which they decided to implement the "Law on Trade Unions" which had been retrogressively revised to ban the payment of wages to the full-time union leaders.

They declared totally null and void any agreement concluded at the negotiations without presence of the KCTU.

They denounced the authorities for leaving no means untried to suppress trade unions they consider obstructive to their stay in power and stated that all the people would turn out in the actions against the evil law on labor.

A resolution was read out at the rally. It said that the KCTU would wage a dynamic all-out struggle in June to shatter the authorities' suppression of the labor movement, have the "Law on Trade Unions" revised again and win the basic rights of the workers.

The workers will certainly judge the present "government" and the "Grand National Party" in the forthcoming "elections to the local self-governing bodies" in solidarity with peasants, youth and students and people of all other strata, the resolution declared.
