The statement slammed the "committee" for branding the actions conducted by the progressive forces against the unpopular rule of the "government", including its policy on the projects for "improving the four large rivers", as illegal ones.

It queried what is difference between the present situation where a mere talk about the "four large rivers" is liable to suppression and the situation at the time of the "March 15 fraudulent election" by the preceding dictatorial forces where the government power-dominated election was rampant.

The statement charged that the "committee" is hell-bent on crackdown upon the dissident forces in a bid to create conditions favorable for the GNP while openly patronizing the dictatorial regime.
