The tournament brought together at least 100 ace male and female gymnasts from 28 countries and regions including the DPRK, Russia, Germany, Sweden and Brazil.

Hong Un Jong and Kim Jin Hyok won gold medals in women's long horse vault and men's parallel bars respectively.

Cha Yong Hwa and Kim Un Hyang respectively came second in women's asymmetric bars and women's balance beam. Meanwhile, Ri Se Gwang placed third in men's long horse vault.
