Present there were officials of the Ministry of Land and Environmental Conservation, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Science and Technology Commission, the Academy of Agricultural Science, the Pyongyang Horticulture Guidance Bureau, the Pyongyang International New Technological and Economic Information Centre, environmental and agricultural experts, the deputy director of the Environmental Education Media Project headquartered in China and environmental and agricultural experts of China, India and Canada.

During the workshop speeches on environmental protection and prospect of organic farming in the DPRK were made to be followed by lectures on actual environmental improvement in different countries and achievements of new organic farming technologies.

The participants watched a video on climate change.
