The truth shown by the historic spring Mingyuegou meeting has still remained valuable for the Korean people.

The situation in the early 1930s was grave as it was all during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

With the beginning of 1931, the Japanese imperialists, availing themselves of the May 30 Uprising organized by factionalists infected with flunkeyism, intensified white terrorism.

They cracked down the revolutionary forces which revolutionaries and other patriots of Korea had prepared for years with much effort.

Most of the revolutionary organizations in Jiandao were torn down.

Having shifted the theatre of his activity to east Manchuria to cope with the prevailing situation, President Kim Il Sung launched efforts to unite the masses strong in revolutionary spirit, rebuilding the revolutionary organizations in the area.

He convened a meeting of cadres of the party and the Young Communist League in Mingyuegou, Yanji County, in the middle of May Juche 20 (1931).

At the meeting he made a historic speech, "Let Us Repudiate the 'Left' Adventurist Line and Follow the Revolutionary Organizational Line."

He in the speech made a profound analysis of the reactionary nature of the May 30 Uprising, the cause of its failure and its consequences and lesson and put forth a revolutionary organizational line on uniting the whole nation into a political force by closely rallying the basic masses and other anti-Japanese forces of all social strata around them.

The all-embracing line was fully supported by the participants in the meeting as it would serve as guidelines in repudiating the "Left" adventurist line and winning over the masses.

After the meeting the revolutionary organizations in Mingyuegou and Antu were put on the right track in a short span of time and those in other areas revitalized.

The feats of the President, who prepared and strengthened the Juche-oriented revolutionary forces, are shinning under the Songun revolutionary leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
