|
Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- The modernization of production processes is making good headway at light industry factories throughout the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The Pyongyang Textile Mill is building a production base of spun rayon fabrics and the Pyongyang Textile Machine Plant is reconditioning its equipment. The Pyongyang Footwear Machine Factory has manufactured effective shoemaking lines to increase the output at footwear factories. The Pyongyang Daily Necessities Factory is buckling down to boosting the toothbrush production, while the Hamhung Disabled Soldiers' Plastic Daily Necessities Factory is pushing ahead with the construction of an injection-molded shoes production process at the final stage to meet women's growing demand for them. Similar news has come from foodstuff factories, too. The Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory has introduced CNC technology in its production processes by and large and the Pyongyang Flour-processing Combine has finished technical preparations in a short span of time to streamline the bread, flour, yeast and noodle production processes. Foodstuff factories in local areas have also undergone technical remodeling of packing and other processes, while raising the production of specialties. Researchers from Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and other universities and scientists from the State Academy of Sciences have rendered assistance to the factories in their technical updating. |
