The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea Saturday in its information bulletin No. 954 said that this farce, an annual event of the puppet group, is nothing but a campaign to infuse the consciousness of confrontation into the minds of south Koreans in a systematic and coercive manner in a bid to quell their spirit of achieving reunification through an alliance with the north and incite hostility toward compatriots among youngsters and thus justify its moves against reunification and prolong its fascist dictatorial system.

It is part of the group's cynical plot to tarnish the image of the DPRK at any cost, much upset by the might of the DPRK winning one victory after another, and fan up the atmosphere of confrontation with it with "the elections to the local self-governing bodies" at hand in a bid to mislead the public opinion, the information bulletin noted, and went on:

The reality once again patently proves that the puppet group is no more than warmongers who make no scruple of increasing the danger of war in order to realize its wild ambition to stay in power and a group of traitors opposed to reunification as they are unhesitatingly abusing even the education for the purpose of escalating confrontation with compatriots.

All Koreans in the north and the south and overseas should turn out as one in a nationwide struggle to make a clean sweep of the puppet group, bearing deep in mind that its rash acts are bound to bring discord among compatriots and a war disaster as it is a stumbling block lying in the way of national reconciliation, unity and peaceful reunification, urged the information bulletin.
