They accused the dictatorial forces of south Korea of fabricating the "spy cases" in the 1970s and the 1980s after arresting Koreans in Japan on the groundless charge that they "conducted activities at the instruction of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan".

The arrestees were forced to live a grievous life behind bars for more than ten years, they said, demanding the above-said committee thoroughly probe the truth about the cases.
