The statement referred to the fact that the south Korean authorities announced the preposterous "results of investigation" on May 20 that the warship of "Cheonan" was sunken by a torpedo attack of the DPRK while being busy with the "Foal Eagle" joint military maneuver.

No fellow countryman would believe the "results of investigation" announced with the main role played by the U.S. and south Korean authorities while staging joint military maneuvers, the statement noted, and continued:

The south Korean authorities' refusal to receive the DPRK's inspection group for verifying material evidence means their self-admittance that the above-said "results" are a product of a sinister political plot against the DPRK and the nation.

If they vouch the truth about the "results", they should receive the DPRK's inspection group without delay.

The south Korean authorities should admit that their publication of the "results" was nothing but a charade for hiding the truth and falsifying it, far from being aimed at properly probing the case, and make an apology to the nation and step down.
