Personages of different circles and people in the province and the city warmly received the troupe and accorded cordial hospitality to it.

The artistes of the DPRK gave three performances by moving up its itinerary by one day to meet the requests of the Hunan Provincial Government and people of the province for more performances.

From the first performance, the theatre was packed to its capacity with audience from the province and different parts of China.

The audience broke into loud applause and cheers at the turn of each touching scene of the opera. Floral baskets were conveyed to the performers at the end of each performance.

During the preparations for performances and while the opera was staged people there were deeply impressed by the noble spiritual and moral traits and high talents and refined acting of Korean artistes. Their presentations evoked a lively response among Chinese.
