Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a signed commentary.

The conservative authorities of south Korea are staging a conspiratorial farce to harm and stifle the DPRK in collusion with the United States and Japan, their masters, and contemplating daring make a preemptive strike at the DPRK. The principled stand clarified in the statement issued by a spokesman for the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and the statement released by a spokesman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea is an entirely just self-defensive measure to cope with the prevailing situation.

Such unprecedentedly conspiratorial case as the sinking of the warship faked up by the puppet forces goes to prove that they will never give up their scenario for confrontation with fellow countrymen and hysteria of a war of aggression on the DPRK before meeting deaths and, accordingly, Koreans can hardly expect the security of the country and the nation or national reunification and they can never escape the fate of falling victim to a nuclear war to be provoked by foreign forces as long as those quislings are allowed to stay.

Unshakable is the revolutionary will of the army and people of the DPRK to mete out a thousand-fold punishment to the puppet war-thirsty forces, who are making desperate efforts to start a war against the DPRK at any cost after bringing the inter-Korean relations to a total collapse in league with outsiders, and react to their "retaliation" with stronger retaliation and "chastisement" with indiscriminate punishment of Korean style.

The puppet group should face up to the prevailing situation and make an apology to the nation for having staged the reckless anti-DPRK farce and appear in the court to face a stern judgment of history and the nation.

If the group finally ignites a war against the DPRK, persistently crying out for "punishment", "retaliation" and "sanctions", it will face our unimaginable, unlimited and devastating retaliatory blows to meet its end.
