Story of Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- One day in October Juche 42 (1953), three months after the ceasefire in Korea, President Kim Il Sung visited the then Hungnam Fertilizer Factory in Hamhung City again during his field guidance tour of South Hamgyong Province. Several days ago he had visited the factory to give its officials and workers detailed ways and methods of rehabilitating the war-torn factory. The President told them, who were surprised by his repeated visit, that he had something to request of them before leaving the province. He then said the rehabilitation of the factory was an issue of moment as peasants were eagerly waiting for fertilizers. He also said that when visiting a rural community in the province he told the peasants fertilizers would be supplied from after two years. I could say so because I believe in the workers of the Hungnam Fertilizer Factory, he added. Recalling the story that peasants around the city wailed when the factory was bombed during the Fatherland Liberation War, he told the officials and workers of the factory to always keep the story in mind and rebuild it as quickly as possible to meet the peasants' ardent demand for fertilizers. |
