Korean People Angered by S. Korea's Anti-DPRK Campaign
Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- With the south Korean puppet authorities intensifying confrontation with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea over the sinking of south Korean warship "Cheonan", the Korean people are determined to punish them for their provocation.

Ri Sung Gyu, 52, a section chief of the State Academy of Sciences, told KCNA that the "story about torpedo attack by the north" is an absurd invention by the Lee Myung Bak regime of traitors, aimed to link the incident with the DPRK in a far-fetched way.

The "pieces of evidence" produced by the regime such as the 1.5-meter-long afterbody of the torpedo and an "extremely small amount of powder" allegedly detected from the funnel and the broken edge of the vessel only give rise to doubt, he said, adding:

The south Korean regime that made public groundless "investigation results" on the incident to escalate the anti-DPRK campaign will surely face a stern punishment by the nation.

Kim Kwang Chol, 46, a worker of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, said in an interview with KCNA:

It is just that the spokesmen of the DPRK National Defence Commission and the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea declared in their statements that the DPRK will strongly react to any "punishment" and "retaliation" of the regime.

If the south Korean puppets dare to start a war against the DPRK despite of its repeated warnings, we the workers will greatly contribute to defeating the aggressors and accomplishing the historical cause of national reunification.

Ri Yong Hui, 22, a peasant of the Kwansang Co-op Farm in Kwaksan County, North Phyongan Province, said that the peasants of the country who are all out in rice-transplanting vehemently resent the south Korean regime for its provocation against the DPRK, and the United States and Japan for their backing its anti-DPRK campaign.
