Speakers at the rally accused the authorities of misusing the case of warship "Cheonan" sinking for the "elections to local self-governing bodies" and desperately trying to spoil the achievements made after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and bring a war to the peninsula.

They said that they could hardly repress their anger at the actions of the authorities driving the inter-Korean relations to a crisis with the warship sinking case as a pretext.

Noting that the people will never be taken in by the authorities' deceptive farce over the case, they called upon all the people to wage fiercer candlelight actions and judge the "Grand National Party" so as to bring peace to the peninsula.
