Speakers said at the event that the World No-Tobacco Day marks an occasion of increasing social concern for the issues arising in no-tobacco activities now under way world-wide.

They stressed that the WHO should protect the health of women from tobacco, as required by the theme set by it on the occasion of the World No-Tobacco Day this year, to help them make a positive contribution to social development.

A lecture "Trend of world no-tobacco activities and measures to prevent passive smoking" was given there.

Its participants went round the Tobacco Substitutes Exhibition.
