During the contest, competitions will be made in football, basketball, volleyball, marathon and other events in Pyongyang and local areas.

Pyon Chol Su, vice-chairman of the Korean Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, in his opening speech underlined the need for all the sportspersons to fully display the technique they have cultivated in their day-to-day training to prove successful in every event and thus contribute to further developing the sports of the country.
