Mauro Cazadio, general secretary of the Struggle for the Peace and Socialism of Italy, in his statement on June 1 said that the U.S. and the south Korean authorities are crying out for "sanctions" and "retaliation" against the DPRK under the pretext of the case of "Cheonan's" sinking and, at the same time, escalating the provocative aggression moves to stifle Korean-style socialism.

But they can never dampen the will of the Korean people to build an economic power and achieve independent and peaceful reunification of the country, he noted, and went on:

The Korean people will surely emerge victorious in the acute stand-off with the U.S. and all other hostile forces.

The U.S. and the south Korean authorities should stop at once the moves for provoking a new war against the DPRK.

Wolfgang Fittinger, chairman of the Brandenburg State Committee of the Communist Party of Germany, in his statement on June 2 accused the U.S. and the Lee Myung Bak group of getting evermore frantic in the anti-DPRK moves, deliberately linking the case of warship "Cheonan's" sinking with the DPRK.

The U.S. and the south Korean authorities should immediately stop the dangerous moves aggravating the situation on the Korean Peninsula, he urged, extending full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts for justice.

Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, chairman of the Egyptian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, also made public a statement on June 2 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. In the statement he noted that the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors totally denied the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration and persistently stood in the way of their implementation. He took note of recent development in which they cooked up a sheer fabrication that "Cheonan" was sunken by "torpedo attack" of the DPRK, misleading the domestic and foreign public opinion.
