Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a signed commentary in this regard:

The U.S. desperate efforts to develop prompt strike weapons and establish a missile defense system are aimed to hold an unchallenged military edge and realize its strategy for aggression and world domination.

Its arms buildup and MD moves spark off a new arms race in the international arena, quite contrary to the trend of history and human desire for peace.

The production of new offensive and defensive means would naturally prompt the production of another weapon to cope with them.

It is as clear as noonday that those countries worrying about the U.S. moves to retain more competitive military edge would buckle down to developing a new weapon.

It is a great crime to turn science and technology into evil account i.e. world domination even though they should be used for development of human civilization and promotion of people's wellbeing.

Peace can never go together with arms expansion.

The U.S. is prone to pay lip-service to "ensuring peace and stability". They are, however, nothing but rhetoric to cover up its peace-disturbing crimes.

With no trite artifice can the U.S. conceal its crimes and nature as a chief culprit touching off the worldwide arms race and disturbing global peace and security.
