Members of the North Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration including its Chairman An Kyong Ho greeted him with compatriotic feelings at the airport.

He issued an arrival statement.

In his statement he noted that the adoption of the historic June 15 joint declaration was a great event which put an end to the north-south confrontation and ushered in an era of reunification and peace.

He bitterly denounced the ultra-right conservative forces for such acts to escalate the confrontation as blocking a joint event of the nation which had been slated to take place here on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and bringing a war.

He stressed that he came here at the risk of his life in order to preserve the June 15 joint declaration and contribute to the national reconciliation, peace and reunification, unable to remain a passive onlooker to the anti-reunification moves of the Lee Myung Bak regime which brought the inter-Korean relations to a collapse.
