The June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration made it possible for all Koreans to dynamically wage the reunification movement by their united efforts and gave the overseas compatriots, in particular, the confidence that the homeland would be certainly reunified in the near future, the statement noted, and said:

But, this confidence was mercilessly trampled by the south Korean conservative "government", which has driven the situation of the Korean Peninsula to the brink of a war by orchestrating the warship sinking case to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK.

Such treacherous and separatist actions of the south Korean authorities should never be tolerated.

The confederation will more valiantly turn out in the righteous nation-wide struggle to implement the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration in the future, too, and strongly denounce and reject any moves obstructive to their implementation.
