Photo Exhibition
Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- A national photo exhibition to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration took place at the People's Palace of Culture with due ceremony on Monday.

On display in the venue are over 150 photos dealing with the undying feats performed by General Secretary Kim Jong Il and the unshakable will of the Korean nation to achieve independent reunification without fail.

Among them are photos of Kim Jong Il signing the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration before exchanging it and those showing the leadership exploits performed by him by bestowing the great loving care to south Korean political and social figures and businessmen and leading them to the path of reconciliation, cooperation, unity and reunification.

Also on display are photos "A grand seminar for national reunification commemorating the first anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration", "Families and relatives in the north and the south have dream-like reunion benefiting from the June 15 joint declaration" and "A south Korean woman who gave birth to a baby girl at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital".

Also displayed are photos showing fellow countrymen in their grand nation-wide movement for independent reunification under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself" and those dealing with the spirit of the army and people of the DPRK to resolutely smash the smear campaign of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean group of traitors for confrontation with the DPRK.

The ceremony was attended by Yang Hyong Sop, a chairperson of a friendly party, officials concerned and members of the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and the North Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification and the Pan-national Alliance of Youth and Students for Korea's Reunification and working people in the city of Pyongyang and Rev. Han Sang Ryol, a pro-reunification figure of south Korea.

An Tong Chun, minister of Culture, made an opening address.
