An Kyong Ho, chairman of the North Side Committee, spoke highly of the deeds of Han who participated in the events to mark the 10th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration after coming to Pyongyang at the risk of his life.

At the meeting the participants recalled the achievements gained in the ten-year-long efforts for national reunification and prosperity common to the nation in the wake of the historic inter-Korean summit meeting and the publication of the June 15 joint declaration.

After the emergence of the Lee Myung Bak regime the declaration has been totally denied and big hurdles stand in the way of the struggle for reconciliation, unity and reunification of the nation, they said, adding: All the fellow countrymen in the north and the south and overseas should smash the moves of the separatists at home and abroad and wage an active nation-wide reunification movement under the banner of "By our nation itself."
