They are named after restaurants famous in the provinces -- Amnok of Ryanggang Province, Sinhung of South Hamgyong Province, Jangsu of South Phyongan Province, Amnokgang of North Phyongan Province, Kanggye of Jagang Province, Kalmaegi of North Hamgyong Province, Okgye of South Hwanghae Province, Kyongam of North Hwanghae Province and Songdo of Kangwon Province.

The reconstructed Kyongam Restaurant serves such palatable dishes as sweet rice dish, rice cake dumpling covered with bean paste, loach soup and mung-bean pancake.

Starch noodle with seasoned raw-sliced walleye pollack is the main course of the Sinhung Restaurant.

Customers can take rice mixed with spices, vegetables, meat, etc. peculiar to the Haeju area at the Okgye Restaurant.

The Kanggye Noodle Shop and Amnokgang and Jangsu restaurants are also famous for noodle, pancake made of glutinous kaoliang, rice mixed with edible herbs and other dishes.
