The statement described the joint declaration as the historic programme for durable peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula.

It censured the present south Korean authorities for totally denying the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration, its action programme, and unhesitatingly committing treacheries against the fellow countrymen in collusion with outside forces.

The statement fully supported the DPRK's stand on the "Cheonan" case and expressed firm solidarity with the Korean people in the struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve national reunification under the banner of the said declarations.

Simeon Ignatov, chairman of the Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association, noted in a statement on the same day that after the adoption of the joint declaration all the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad have made marvelous achievements in the movement for national reunification under the banner of "By our nation itself".

The statement expressed the conviction that the DPRK would foil every smear campaign of the warmongers with its powerful defence capability and open up a new heyday of national reunification movement under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration.

Meanwhile, the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain issued a statement on June 11 in support of the Korean people's struggle for implementation of the June 15 joint declaration.
