Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- The Pakistan Trade Union Federation, the Pakistan Peasants Committee, the Pakistan Organization for Afro-Asian People's Solidarity, the Pakistan Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification and the Lahore Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association issued a joint statement on June 9 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people, provided the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and made sure that measures were taken for its implementation, the statement noted, fully supporting those measures and extending militant solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle to achieve the country's reunification. The statement urged the U.S. Administration to drop the hostile policy toward the DPRK and withdraw its armed forces from south Korea so that the Korean people may reunify the country independently and peacefully free from foreign forces' interference in their internal affairs. The National Committee of the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo in a statement on June 10 urged traitor Lee Myung Bak of south Korea to respect the north-south joint declaration, create a favorable circumstance for peaceful reunification and accept the will of all the Korean people in the north and the south and abroad for the country's reunification. It urged the U.S. to respond to the fair proposal of the DPRK government to replace the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty and stop the reckless military exercises against the DPRK. |
