The work, published on June 19, Juche 84 (1995), comprehensively expounds the essence of the ideological work under socialism, its basic duty and principle and ways for carrying them into practice. It, therefore, serves as an immortal banner for accomplishing socialism.

For the past 15 years since then he has authored many works one after another to defend socialist ideology and theories and develop them in depth as required by the developing reality, thus indicating the path for accomplishing socialism.

They include "The Workers' Party of Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung", "The Songun-based Revolutionary Line Is a Great Revolutionary Line of Our Era and an Ever-Victorious Banner of Our Revolution", "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea Is a Socialist State of Juche with Invincible Might" and "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction".

They underscore the need to intensify the education in the Juche idea and conduct in depth the information service on the Songun politics guided by the Juche idea.

They also indicate the popular and independent character and the invincible might of the DPRK, in which the Juche idea is embodied in the state-building and activities, and elucidate the problems of firmly preserving the principle of Juche, the principle of national sovereignty in the revolution and construction.

They contain the idea that big efforts should be sustained to educate officials and working people in the revolutionary traditions and arm them with the spirit to carry on uncompromising struggle against the U.S. imperialists and class enemies.

Also expounded in them is the idea that working people should make a leap forward and innovation in building an economic power and positively conduct ideological education to bring the advantages of Korean-style socialism into full play.
