Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

This is a blatant challenge to the June 15 joint declaration and an intolerable anti-reunification action designed to quell the desire of all Koreans for reunification and fan up the atmosphere of confrontation.

Through this case the Lee Myung Bak group once again brought to light its despicable true colors as the enemy of the nation and traitors opposed to reunification, the commentary notes, and goes on:

Representatives of the above-mentioned headquarters held working meetings to develop the reunification movement with those of the DPRK in 2007 and 2008. The fascist maniacs, however, blamed them for the absence of "permission." This is a far-fetched assertion. They legally came to the north with the permission of the authorities and had open meetings with it. It is hardly understandable for them to take issue with their activities after the lapse of several years. The puppet group is charging them with the violation of the "National Security Law," talking about "information exchange", "praise and encouragement" and "reception of instructions" and the like. This is a trite method used by it to crack down the activities of reunification movement organizations grouping people from all walks of life for alliance with the north.

The above-said racket kicked off by the puppet forces against the said headquarters without any proper ground is aimed at tiding over their worst ruling crisis and taking revenge upon those forces opposed to their anti-reunification policy for the heavy defeat in the "elections to local self-governing bodies".

But the group of traitors' sinister plot will get it nowhere.

The Lee Myung Bak group would be well advised to halt at once its fascist repressive offensive against the reunification movement organizations, properly understanding the strong will of the people from all walks of life in south Korea all out to support and uphold the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and implement them.
