The statement recalled the fact that the U.S. imperialist aggressors and their stooges, the south Korean puppet army, ignited a war of aggression against the Korean people on June 25, 1950.

The army and people of the DPRK rallied close around President Kim Il Sung, brilliant strategist, inflicted an ignominious defeat upon the imperialist aggressors and won a great victory by displaying matchless popular heroism, the statement noted.

The U.S. imperialist aggression forces are standing in the way of achieving the reunification of Korea, still staying in south Korea, the statement said, adding: The war exercises for aggression being staged by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces indicate that they are the main factor of disturbing peace on the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia and imperialism remains unchanged in its aggressive nature.

The statement said that the Korean people led by Kim Jong Il are fully ready to thoroughly beat back any aggression of the imperialists, stressing that the association expresses full support and solidarity with the Korean people in their just cause.
