Just Cause of Korean People Supported

Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations of Pakistan including the People's Party, the Association for Self-Reliance Studies and the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association made public a joint statement on June 13 in support of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and in denunciation of the anti-DPRK moves of the U.S. and the south Korean authorities. Expressing deep apprehension over the situation of the Korean Peninsula extremely aggravated due to the recent sinking case of warship "Cheonan", the statement stressed that the U.S. and its followers would suffer a bitter defeat from the Korean people. The Korean people will neither pardon nor forget the criminal acts of the U.S., it said, expressing solidarity with their cause of justice. The Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) issued a statement on June 17 on the occasions of the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle. The statement demanded that the U.S. take practical measures to replace the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty and ensure lasting peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the south Korean authorities ensure stability of the peninsula and implement the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, a great programme for Korea's reunification this year, 60 years after the outbreak of the Korean War. The Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain in its statement on June 14 expressed support for the June 15 joint declaration, a historic landmark of Korea's reunification, and urged the south Korean authorities to stop the anti-DPRK smear campaign at once. Lucas Nguema Esono, general secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, said in a statement on June 15 that the publication of the June 15 joint declaration was a historic event which brought about a signal advance in the Korean people's struggle for reunification. Tin Tun, director of a Myanmar medical research institute, stressed in a statement on June 14 that the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea would surely be realized in the near future under the Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il. |
