On June 15 and 16 the puppet forces massively hurled armed forces under the first army corps and all types of military equipment to the areas of Kyonggi Province. There they staged frantic DPRK-targeted war exercises allegedly to cope with someone's "intrusion" and "provocation".

From June 9 to 11 the puppet warmongers mobilized all the armed forces and equipment of the second army corps for madcap war exercises including wholesale search, reconnaissance, blockade and operation of task force. These exercises were staged with the area of south Korean Kangwon Province as operational theatre.

The puppet armed hooligans and tank and artillery units were deployed in the forefront areas on June 21 and 22. They fired bullets and shells at random, kicking up war hysteria.

The puppet military warlike forces staged frantic drills for dropping anti-submarine bombs and firing shells from warships in the East Sea of Korea for five days since June 14 with the involvement of more than 10 combat warships including destroyers and patrol ships and even helicopters in coordinated operation with the 1st fleet of the puppet navy and the maritime police.

In another development, the air planes of the U.S. imperialists and flying corps of the puppet air force busied themselves staging the ground target striking drill, close air-support drill, the drill for spotting aerial targets and airlifting operation exercises almost everyday.

They also sent everyday an average of five to seven or even ten overseas-based RC-135s and south Korea-based strategic and tactical reconnaissance planes with various missions, tasked with aerial espionage, while stepping up the information monitoring of the DPRK.

The situation on the Korean Peninsula reached the lowest ebb due to the reckless war moves of the U.S. imperialists and the puppet military warmongers so that a war may break out there any moment.
