S. Korean Authorities Urged to Accept 6.15 Joint Declaration
Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Personages of Ethiopia and Syria made public statements on June 15 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

Nigatu Dagnachew, chairman of the Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea, said in the statement that the June 15 joint declaration is a product of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's will and idea on national reunification who has creditably carried forward President Kim Il Sung's cause of independent reunification and great national unity.

The statement recalled that the Lee Myung Bak group totally denied the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, its action programme, agreed upon by the north and the south of Korea and fully supported by the world community, and bedeviled the inter-Korean relations.

It strongly demanded the south Korean authorities discontinue the anti-DPRK and anti-reunification moves at once and accept the June 15 joint declaration as the banner for the improved north-south relations and national reunification.

Saber Ballul, head of department of the Political Faculty of University of Damascus of Syria, referred to the significance of the adoption of the joint declaration and its validity and vitality and accused the south Korean authorities of disregarding the nation's will for reunification while toeing the outside forces' line and totally denying the joint declaration.
