US Methodist Church Calls for Conclusion of Peace Treaty

| Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- At least 1,000 representatives of the U.S. Methodist Church at a rally held from June 13 to 16 adopted a proposal urging the conclusion of a peace treaty on the Korean Peninsula and normalizing the DPRK-U.S. relations. In the proposal they urged the U.S. to sign a peace treaty with the DPRK to put an end to the war and shape a peaceful diplomatic policy. They also called upon the U.S. to contribute to achieving peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula. They decided to send this proposal to the U.S. president and the U.S. secretary of State. |
