The letter said:

The current solidarity activities which coincide with the unprecedented escalation of conspiratorial moves of the U.S. and the south Korean authorities against the DPRK have served as an important occasion to give the progressive youth and students of the world a correct understanding of who truly wants justice and peace on the Korean Peninsula and who incites war and confrontation to plunge it into the catastrophe of a nuclear war.

The letter noted that through the international meeting of youth and students and the solidarity march, they deepened belief and understanding of the validity of the Three Charters for Korea's reunification advanced by President Kim Il Sung and the vitality of the June 15 joint declaration, the fruition of the wisdom and broadmindedness of Kim Jong Il.

Referring to the fact that the DPRK under the outstanding leadership of Kim Jong Il is winning one victory after another despite all forms of challenges and persistent attempts of the U.S. and its followers to isolate and stifle it, the letter noted that the DPRK gives boundless encouragement to the progressive people of the world in their struggle for global independence and peace against aggression and war as it is a castle for the cause of independence.

We will continue to launch different forms of consistent solidarity movement to denounce the hostile policy of the U.S.-led reactionary forces of the world and support all peace-loving efforts of the DPRK government, it said, and continued:

We will as always extend strong encouragement to the Korean youth and other people in their efforts for independent national reunification and prosperity.
