This fact was made known when a document which had been worked out by the U.S. Department of Defense at that time and presented by it to the White House on June 25, 1969 was opened to the public recently.

This emergency plan for attacking with nuclear weapons contained three proposals: the first one for attacking 12 places including airfields and naval bases with 0.2-10kt nukes, the second one for destroying 16 airfields with 70kt nukes and the third one to disable the bulk of the military muscle of the DPRK with 10-70kt nukes.

The plan specifically envisaged the damage the U.S. imperialists may suffer when using nukes.

Their plan to use nukes against the DPRK had already been disclosed several times but it is the first time that this offensive plan which mentioned in detail targets for attack and even the damage to be suffered by them was opened to the public as if it were an operational plan, the report said.
