Korean War Termed Product of US Ambition for Domination

Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- The United States instigated the south Korean puppets to launch the Korean war of aggression in a bid to dominate the whole of the Korean Peninsula and reduce the Korean people into slaves. Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a signed article. It goes on: The United States, well aware of the geopolitical importance of the Korean Peninsula as a strategic vantage for advance into the Asian Continent, stretched its tentacles of aggression to Korea from more than a hundred years ago, constantly giving its eye-teeth for it. It sent its aggression armed forces to south Korea as "liberators" under the pretext of "disarmament" of the Imperial Japanese Army in the wake of the conclusion of the Second World War in 1945. From the first day of their occupation of south Korea the U.S. imperialist warmongers subordinated south Korea as its complete political, economic and military colony by cooking up the pro-U.S. puppet government. They undisguisedly revealed their attempt to invade the DPRK while asserting that it is necessary to expand occupation to the whole of Korea. Such bellicose remarks as "Korea is a battlefield decisive of success or fail of the U.S. policy toward Asia" were publicly heard even from the U.S. political circles. After its military occupation of south Korea, the U.S. pushed forward in real earnest the moves to provoke a war against the DPRK, pursuant to its DPRK policy for aggression. The United States finally ignited the war of aggression against the DPRK on June 25, 1950 based on careful preparations for it. The United States and the south Korean conservative group are now getting frantic in the provocative moves while distorting the truth about the outbreak of the war with the lapse of six decades since its start as an occasion. But they are nothing but reckless actions precipitating their destruction. With nothing can the United States and the south Korean warmongers hide the truth of history nor escape from the responsibility for having launched the most destructive and brutal war, the article concludes. |
