Significant Days of DPRK Observed

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions were opened in Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Mexico between June 13 and 17 to commemorate the 46th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

On display in their venues were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, photos on the immortal exploits of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu, books and photos introducing Songun Korea and handiworks associated with wisdom and skills of Koreans.

Meetings were held in Britain and Switzerland on June 12 to mark the above-said occasion and the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

Speeches were made at the functions.

A message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting held in Switzerland.
