Light Industry Factories Boost Production

Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Light industry factories in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have overfulfilled their plan for the first half of the year. The Pakchon Silk Mill has surpassed their target, 101, 107 and 130 percent in the production of blanket, cloth and ramie lining respectively, by controlling equipment under a scrupulous plan, properly carrying on technical management and bringing weaving, printing and other machines into full operation. The Pyongyang Daily Necessities Factory has increased the output of consumer goods by 20 percent by introducing a speed control device in expansive extruder. The Nampho Disabled Soldiers' Shoes Factory has massproduced new models of shoes for men and women. The Huichon Silk Mill has topped its plan -- 100, 101.4 and 119.3 percent in silk, cotton and floss. The Songyo Knitted Goods Factory has introduced more than ten technological innovations and inventions in production through a mass technological innovation movement from the beginning of the year. The Pyongyang Textile Mill has boosted the production of cotton yarn, cloth and towel by 46.4 percent, 34.8 percent and 121.7 percent respectively compared with the corresponding period of last year. Some 30 workers of the factory have already fulfilled their yearly quotas and many others their plan for the first half of the year. |
