Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Start of Work at WPK Observed

| Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- A round-table talk, a photo exhibition and a film show were held in Iran, a photo exhibition in Nigeria, a meeting and a film show in South Africa and a meeting in Bangladesh between June 14 and 16 on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea. On display at the photo exhibition halls were photos on the revolutionary history and immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the Korean people's efforts for building a thriving nation. Speeches were made at the functions. The secretary of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party said that the Korean people significantly commemorate the 19th of June every year with splendor because Kim Jong Il further strengthened the WPK into the party of Kim Il Sung through his wise guidance over it. The president of the Bangladesh People's League and other speakers stressed that under the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il the DPRK turned into a military power with strong defence capability which any formidable enemy dare not invade. The participants of the film shows watched "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation", "Night of Pyongyang" and other Korean films. |
