Present at the meeting were Tiago Alexandre Ferraz Vieira, president of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, and his party and delegations and delegates of youth and student organizations from different countries and regions and a delegation of the Korean Youth League in Japan, that participated in the 2nd international preparatory meeting of the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students and the international solidarity events of youth and students in support of the just cause of the Korean people. Kil Chol Hyok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, and other officials of the youth league and youth and students here were also present.

The speakers said that international solidarity activities in support of the just cause of Korean youth and other people conducted amid the great concern of the world progressive youth and students contributed to further deepening the friendship.

They declared that they would make positive efforts to develop the world festival of youth and students in line with their desire and requirements of the times and creditably fulfill their responsibilities and roles for successfully opening the festival and making it yield good results.

An art performance was given by the art squad of the Central Committee of the youth league. It was followed by a dancing party of the participants.
