Present at the meeting were Choe Un Bok, chairperson of the association, and other officials and Korean residents in Shenyang.

The meeting heard a statement issued by the History Society of the DPRK "The U.S. should immediately dismantle the illegal 'UN Forces Command' and opt for signing a peace treaty" and a joint statement of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea, the National Peace Committee of Korea and the North Headquarters of the Nationwide Special Committee for Probing the Truth behind the GIs' Crimes.

Choe Un Bok in a speech said that 60 years ago the U.S. imperialists carried out the most barbaric war of aggression in the world history of wars to stifle the DPRK in its cradle and realize its wild ambition for world domination.

Choe declared that all the officials of the association and compatriots together with world peace-loving people would disclose before the whole world the atrocities committed by the U.S. aggressor troops in the Korean War and turn out as one in the struggle to thoroughly frustrate the ambition of the U.S. imperialists for invading the DPRK.

At the end of the meeting the participants watched a Korean film on the brutal murder committed by the U.S. imperialists in Sinchon during the Korean War.

On the same day the United Confederation of Koreans in Kamchatka Region, Russia, in a statement on the lapse of 60 years since the U.S. imperialists ignited the war of aggression in Korea strongly demanded the U.S. and the south Korean authorities stop at once the reckless moves to ignite the second Korean war.

Cha Sang Bo, vice-chairman of the General Association of Koreans in China, in a statement on June 26 lashed out at the U.S. for imposing immeasurable misfortune and sufferings upon the Korean nation by provoking the war of aggression and bringing the dark clouds of a nuclear war to hang over it at present.
