Fascist Suppression Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Progress of south Korea called a press conference in Seoul on June 29 to denounce the puppet group of traitors for its suppression of the organization.

A press release, read out at the conference, referred to the fact that the "Intelligence Service" and two companies of the police searched offices of the organization and its supporting society and houses of its core members and arrested some members of it on the charge of violation of the "National Security Law" that day.

The authorities' crackdown, as evidenced by the recent search into the Pusan Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, heavy disciplinary punishment against teachers affiliated to the Teachers Union and investigation into the Citizens' Solidarity for Democratic Society, is going to excess, it pointed out, adding that the Lee Myung Bak regime's suppression under the pretext of public security will never be allowed.

The release declared that the organization together with all the people would struggle to the last against the high-handed and violent rule of the Lee regime and get the NSL abrogated without fail to put an end to the era of barbarism.
