S. Korean Authorities' Repressive Campaign under Fire
Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- Personages of various organizations including the Bar Association for Democratic Society, the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy and the Solidarity for Progress of south Korea, when interviewed by internet broadcasting "Voice of People," denounced the repressive campaign kicked off by the puppet authorities on the strength of the "National Security Law (NSL)".

They charged that the repressive campaign which had rapidly gained in scope on the strength of the NSL since the emergence of the Lee Myung Bak regime has become more frantic with the "Cheonan" case as a momentum.

Recently the authorities suppressed the Solidarity for Progress, the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and the Pusan Headquarters under it, the National Council for the Promotion of the Reunification by Federal Formula, the Headquarters of the Movement for the Withdrawal of the U.S. Forces and other organizations and even ordinary citizens on charges of the violation of the NSL, they said, adding:

The authorities labeled the Socialist Workers' Federation "a propaganda and agitation organization tasked to carry out a socialist revolution" and are persecuting the Citizen's Solidarity for Democratic Society and the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification which sent letters carrying suspicions about the "results of the investigation" into the "Cheonan" case to the UN Security Council after branding them as "organizations benefiting the north."

Such repressive campaign of the authorities is aimed at gagging those who are opposed to the policy of the "government" in a bid to achieve their political purpose at any cost with the above-said case as a momentum, they stated, demanding the authorities stop at once the above-said repressive campaign.
