Seen before it was a wreath sent by Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Kim Yong Chun and O Kuk Ryol and officials of party, armed forces and power organs, the Cabinet and ministries, servicepersons, bereaved family members of O Jung Hup and officials and working people in the city.

Placed before the bust were wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK and the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

Wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of Oil Industry, the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK and the Pyongyang Clothing Industry Management Bureau and flowers were laid.

The participants paid silent tribute to O Jung Hup.
