He visited many army units, factories, mines, schools, hospitals, restaurants, shops and families across the country from the first day of the building of a new country to the last period of his life.

He walked even trails to mountain villages, roads to the frontline areas during the war and muddy roads to industrial and agricultural establishments.

He visited more than 20,600 units in 8,650 days from the first day of the building of a new country.

His field guidance tours were some 578,000 kilometers long, equivalent to 301 shuttles between the southern tip and the northern tip of the country and to fourteen and a half rounds of the earth.

Through the field guidance, he brought about a new history of modern Korea, overcoming manifold difficulties and trials by dint of the people's inexhaustible strength and wisdom.
