The book consists of five parts--national food, historic relics and remains, national classics and Hunminjongum (Korean alphabet), etiquette, and folk games and sports.

The part of national food introduces world-famous Pyongyang cold noodle and kimchi, bean paste soup, makkoli (crude liquor) and other 33 dishes fragrant with national flavor.

The part of historic relics and remains show the Culture of the River Taedong that is one of the world's five civilizations, metal type developed in Korea for the first time in the world, turtle-shaped armored ship, Chomsongdae (astronomical observatory), Koryo celadon and other things representing the intelligence and talent of the Korean nation.

Seen in other parts are Chronicles of the Ri Dynasty, 80,000 blocks of complete collection of Buddhist scriptures, three major medical classics -- Tonguibogam, Uibangryuchwi and Hyangyakjipsongbang -- greeting, eating and behavior manners, and Taekwon-Do, symbolic of the stamina of the Korean nation, etc.
